We are based in Colchester, Essex. In addition to local pick-ups and drop offs, we also offer country wide travel including station and airport transfers.

Yes, we understand that these days our customers don’t always carry cash with them. That’s why we accept card in all our vehicles as well as cash.

If your pickup is from Colchester and the fare doesn’t exceed £17.50 usually no prepayment is required. There may be circumstances such as collecting from busy wedding venues, or transporting a teenager where parents are paying, that fall under the £17.50 bracket, where the controller may deem it necessary to secure a prepayment.

MCS reserves the right to request prepayment.

Yes, we often take customers cross country to attend all manner of events from festivals to weddings, conferences to funerals. In most circumstances, and subject to availability and the distance of the job, our driver is able to wait locally for you, so that we are on hand when it is time for you to return.
Yes our fleet includes a limited supply of wheelchair friendly vehicles. Please see the wheelchair tab on the homepage for further information.
Whether you are travelling for a holiday together, a day out or simply need a taxi to the local vet we can help. In between our four legged passengers we ensure our taxis are kept spotless, so that if you are travelling pet free you will not be affected. Our pet friendly vehicles are limited so please book in advance, making sure you always advise us if you wish to carry a pet. We cannot guarantee same day pet friendly vehicles.

Yes! Our range of MPV’s allow us to carry up to 8 passengers per vehicle.

We can also provide multiple vehicles should you require them and if the journey is short we can also offer a shuttle service.

For large capacity bookings, our sister company, TG Coaches can accommodate 75 passengers onboard their largest coach and can supply multiple coaches for corporate events and weddings.

As soon as you are made aware of any flight delays please try let us know by calling 01206 544444. The control centre will monitor your arrival time, based on the flight number supplied at the time of booking so any inflight changes should be known to our driver and any necessary time adjustments made.
If you have booked a meet and greet service for the airport, we will meet you as you come into arrivals. Our driver will be easy to spot, with a board showing your lead passengers name. Should you request a meet and greet service the customer is liable for ALL car park costs incurred. Where a meet and greet service is not required the driver will make contact on the mobile number provided at the time of booking and arrange the best meeting point with you.
No, we only offer private transfers so the vehicle is yours for exclusive use.

A child can only travel in a taxi or private hire vehicle without a child car seat if he or she sits in the back. Children older than three years old must use the car’s adult seat belt. Children under three should not use a seat belt.

In a taxi a baby/child can travel without a child seat however they must still be considered a passenger (allowing a seat for the baby/child) even if they will be sitting on the responsible adults lap.

We have many families who request a standard car for a family of 5 when they require a 5 passenger MPV. A baby or child must always be counted as a passenger for licensing and insurance purposes.

Yes of course. When you book, simply let us know the details of your collection points and we will quote you accordingly for any number of pick ups you require.
