Minicab Services or Five and Five Fours as we are more commonly known, commenced trading in 1973, and is one of Colchester’s oldest and most established taxi and private hire companies.
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Christmas and Bank Holidays and can fulfil all your personal and business travel needs.
Our taxi fleet includes saloon cars, estate cars, minibuses accommodating up to 8 passengers and wheelchair accessible vehicles. Multiple vehicles can be booked.

MCS prides itself on providing you with a fantastic service. A vehicle that meets your requirements and a professional driver, both vehicle and driver are regulated by Colchester Borough Council. All drivers have undergone an enhanced DBS Check as well as knowledge and medical tests as part of Colchester Borough Councils strict licensing procedures ensuring your safety and peace of mind.
In addition, our state-of-the-art computerised reservation and taxi despatch system allows all customers to book their own cabs via our app, amend any previously entered bookings and even track the progress of your taxi via the tracking within the app.

Are you a Business customer?
If so you may enjoy the benefits of our Account facilities. Should you be accepted as an account customer, payment for all fares in a given month will be invoiced to you on a monthly basis with payment required to settle your account within thirty days of the invoice date.
