The Mercury Theatre is situated in Balkerne Gardens overlooking one of the original Roman gates of Colchester, just a couple of minutes walk from the Town Centre.

It is a very well established provincial theatre and home to the critically acclaimed Mercury Theatre Company, staging a broad mix of classics and new writing (comedy, drama, musicals etc) as well as working extensively in the local community.

In addition, the Mercury is a venue for the very best touring theatre and entertainment, as well as providing a platform for local performing arts groups.
